About BrightLeaf Giving
BrightLeaf Giving was created for a common moment in modern philanthropy: the cause is real, the need is real, but the structure isn’t there yet.
Since 2018 we’ve been building the operating system for causes that don’t fit traditional fundraising infrastructure — too small for their own 501(c)(3), too compliance-bound for a generic donation platform, too underserved for a traditional fiscal sponsor.
Where we are today
91
active programs
$5M+
cumulative donations processed
~90%
annual program retention
2
partner 501(c)(3) sponsors
Programs come to BrightLeaf through word-of-mouth — from existing operators, partner sponsors, and people who’ve watched a program work. Retention compounds because the platform handles what would otherwise be unpaid administrative work for fund operators. Our base is diversified across community causes, scholarship programs, and time-bound campaigns, with no single program exceeding 10% of our volume.
The problem BrightLeaf Giving solves
When fundraising happens without a proper charitable framework, everyone feels it:
Donor Uncertainty
Donors aren’t sure what they’re supporting or whether giving is tax-deductible
Operational Burden
Fund leaders get stuck managing logistics, rules, and follow-through that weren’t designed into the platform
Gift Limitations
Larger gifts (including donor-advised fund giving) can become difficult to handle
That uncertainty doesn’t just slow fundraising down. It quietly erodes trust.
Our approach: structured, stewarded, & simple
BrightLeaf Giving provides a compliant fundraising pathway backed by nonprofit partners, so donations are handled as charitable gifts inside an established framework aligned with IRS expectations.
This shows up in three ways:
Structure
Our programs are built to support legitimate charitable fundraising following IRS compliance, transparent administration, and responsible distribution.
Stewardship
We don’t leave you alone after launch. We support the process from setup through reporting and disbursement workflows, so funds move in a controlled and accountable way.
Simplicity
Our goal is to make fundraising easier to run and easier to trust.
Where it adds value, we also use trusted infrastructure. Disbursements can be delivered through our partnership with Crowded, which helps recipients access funds securely (including debit card and transfer options) while strengthening safeguards that reduce misuse.
BrightLeaf operates the platform technology directly — we don’t license a third-party fundraising tool. That’s why we can ship compliance improvements and donor-experience changes when our programs ask for them, not when an outside vendor’s roadmap allows.

How our integrity shows
We take trust personally because we understand people don’t just give money; they attach their reputation to a cause.
We honor that with transparent steps, straightforward pricing, and nonprofit partners who keep the work accountable. No vague promises.
We offer a clear, guided process from donation to distribution.
We’ve operated this way for seven years across two partner sponsors and over 90 active programs. The track record is the case.
